Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the UHURU Leather website and the purchase of products from it. By placing an order you agree to them. Please read them before you buy.

1. About UHURU Leather

UHURU Leather designs and sells full-grain leather goods made in Tanzania. The full legal identity of the operating business — name, registration number, TIN/VAT status and registered address — will be published here and on the consumer information page once the owner provides verified details.

2. Products and materials

We describe our products honestly. Each product page lists the outer material (full-grain leather) separately from the components — lining, hardware and thread. Natural leather varies slightly in grain, tone and markings; this variation is a characteristic of the material and is not a defect. Product images are representative.

3. Pricing and payment

Prices are shown in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS). Delivery fees and any applicable taxes are calculated at checkout and shown before you submit your order. Payment is accepted by the methods shown at checkout, and an order is only confirmed once payment is verified.

4. Orders

You can review and correct your order before submitting it. Once submitted, you'll receive an order reference. We may decline an order where a product is unavailable or a payment cannot be verified; any payment taken will be refunded.

5. Delivery

Delivery times are estimates. We deliver across Tanzania and offer pickup from our workshop. Details are in the shipping policy.

6. Returns and refunds

Unused items in original condition may be returned within 7 days, as set out in the refund policy. Custom and personalised items are made to your specification and cannot be returned unless faulty.

7. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

8. Intellectual property

The UHURU name, logo, photography, text and design of this site belong to UHURU Leather. You may not reproduce them without written permission.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the value of the products you purchased. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your order applies to that order.
